TPI 183A True RMS Digital Multimeter
The TPI 183A True RMS Digital Multimeter is a portable digital multimeter that measures a wide array of different electrical parameters including AC voltage (750V), DC voltage (1000V), AC/DC current (10A), resistance (40MΩ), frequency (10MHz), and capacitance (4000µF). High resolution is available for each parameter including microamps for testing smoke detectors. There are also options for continuity and diode testing as well as temperature measurement up to 1300˚C depending on the probe whilst duty cycle measurement allows assessment of modulating gas valves.
True RMS measurement aids accuracy on AC values and builds on basic DC accuracy of ±0.5%. Another helpful feature on the TPI 183A is a low pass filter which is very useful for performing inspections in electrically noisy environments.
